The annual BioEM 2025 conference will take place in Rennes, France
Bioelectromagnetics is published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc.. It is the official journal of BioEM.
Donations can be made to support student and young scientist, within the Bioelectromagnetics community.
The journal Bioelectromagnetics launched the first of its new Special Issue series, with this inaugural edition focused on the dynamic and rapidly advancing field of neurostimulation. The guest editors were Prof. Alvaro Pascual-Leone from Harvard Medical School, a prominent opinion leader in neuromodulation, and Dr. Esra Neufeld of the IT’IS Foundation, a leading expert in computational neuromodeling.
In memory of Dr. Alexandre Legros, and in recognition of his commitment to mentoring young scientists and fostering international scientific exchange, the BioEM Board of Directors has established the Alexandre Legros Travel Support. This initiative aims to encourage promising students to actively participate in the BioEM annual meetings.
In memory of Alexandre Legros, The BioEM board of directors have decided to set up a travel support scheme for two students to attend BioEM annual meetings.
BioEM promotes the exchange of ideas to advance the science of natural and applied electromagnetic fields in biology and medicine.
BioEM was established in 2021 as a merger of The Bioelectromagnetics Society (BEMS) and the European Bioelectromagnetics Association (EBEA). It is an independent organization of biological and physical scientists, physicians and engineers interested in the interactions of electromagnetic fields with biological systems.
