Young Scientist Award in Bioelectromagnetics 

The Young Scientist Award in Bioelectromagnetics is presented annually by the BioEM Board to recognize outstanding achievements in the field by early-career researchers from academia, industry, or government. The award celebrates innovation, excellence, and impact in bioelectromagnetics research.

Eligibility
Candidates must be within 10 years of obtaining their PhD and younger than 40 years old as of January 1st of the nomination year.

The Award Includes

  • A prize of €5,000
  • A waived registration for the BioEM Annual Conference
  • An invited plenary lecture at BioEM to showcase the recipient’s research

Nomination Requirements

  • A curriculum vitæ
  • A letter describing the candidate’s innovative contributions to the field

Selection Process
Applications are reviewed by a selection committee consisting of the current BioEM President, members of the Awards Committee, and invited scientists. Candidates are evaluated based on:

  • The relevance, originality, and independence of their research
  • The quality and impact of their publications (e.g. number, first-author roles, h-index)
  • Their overall scientific standing, as reflected in international collaborations, interdisciplinary work, grants, fellowships, and leadership activities
