2026 Arthur Pilla Young Scientist Award
The annual Arthur Pilla Young Scientist Award, introduced at the BioEM2016 meeting, is sponsored by the Arthur A. Pilla Research Foundation in memory of our friend and colleague.
The Arthur Pilla Young Scientist Award 2026 will be awarded to the best presentation by a young scientist at the BioEM 2026 Meeting in Cairns, Australia. Any presentations (Platform & Poster) at the meeting by “young scientists” may be entered for this award. The “young scientist” must be the first author on the research and must present the talk or poster.
To be qualified as a “young scientist” for the Arthur Pilla Young Scientist Award, the candidate must have received a PhD no more than 5 years prior to the opening date of the BioEM 2026 meeting.
To enter the competition, qualified candidates should send a copy of their PhD certificate to awards@bioem.org by 15 May 2026. They should also indicate the title of the presentation they wish to enter for this award. Only one presentation may be entered per individual.
The prize consists of a certificate and an award of US$1200.
