It is with deep sadness and heavy heart that I inform you of the death of our colleague and friend, Dr. Alexandre Legros, who passed away on 10th of February 2025 following a prolonged illness in recent years.
Alex was a prominent research scientist with great interest on the effects of electric and magnetic stimuli applied to the human central nervous system, on brain processing, motor control and cognitive functions. He worked at University of Montpellier in France, Western University and Lawson Health Research Institute in Canada.
Alex was an extremely active and enthusiastic member of the Bioelectromagentics community. Amongst other roles, he served as secretary of BEMS, the chair of local organising committee (LOC) of BioEM 2018 in Montpellier and more recently as the co-chair of LOC BioEM 2025 in Rennes.
On behalf of the BioEM board of directors, I express our heartfelt condolences to Alex’s family, friends, and colleagues.
The board will be supporting BioEM 2025 local organisers in any capacity needed during this very sad and challenging time.
