The IT’IS Foundation offers fellowships specifically to support female researchers in the field of electromagnetics and information technology.
Fellowships are awarded from the Katja Poković Research Fund that was established in memory of Katja Poković (PhD) who was Director of Laboratory and Customer Services at Schmid & Partner Engineering AG (SPEAG) in Zurich from 1999 – 2021 and a major contributor to the success of all partner units of Zurich 43.
Katja graduated in EM dosimetry from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich in 1999. She dedicated her entire professional life to the subject of electromagnetics and the interaction of electromagnetic fields with living organisms. She also was a member of BEMS and won the award for the best scientific paper by a student in 1999.
