07th November 2025

We are pleased to announce the 13th Course of the International School of Bioelectromagnetism “A. Chiabrera” entitled

“Bioelectromagnetic systems for innovative High Performance Sensing and Interaction strategies”

which will take place in Erice (Sicily) from May 2 to May 7, 2026 at the E. Majorana Foundation and Center for Scientific Culture

Course Description – Showing how to exploit the interaction between electromagnetic fields and biological systems for chemical and physical parameters detection.

General topics – Photonic biosensors for medical and environmental monitoring; microwaves for biological analysis and healthcare applications; terahertz radiation for medical diagnostics; measurements via wearable and ingestible devices; intracellular probing.

Key Objectives – Provide researchers with essential skills for EM field interaction, diagnostics and monitoring in medical and environmental applications, including point of care testing.

Directors of the Course:

Prof. Nunzio Cennamo – University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli – Italy

Dr. Katia Grenier – LAAS-CNRS, Toulouse, France
